Reproduction of an antique European sampler, circa 1790. The original sampler has been embroidered with silk threads on fine uneven-weave linen (20 W x 17 H threads/cm).

The stitch count is 257 W x 237 H.
The sampler is entirely worked in cross stitch over two threads. Use two strands of cotton.

The model was stitched on 40 count hand dyed Beige linen from Weeks Dye Works using a combination of hand dyed and DMC cotton floss. A DMC number is listed for those colours that did not have a good match between original wool colours and hand-dyed threads.
